GMAC Celebrates the 2020 Edition of Women in Mining UK’s
“100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” and China‘s Mining Industry

Beijing – 19 November 2020: Global Mining Associatonof China (“GMAC”) is delighted to celebrate all 100 women who have been selected for Women in MiningUK’s “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100) 2020 Edition, with a special congratulations to Yiming Wu (CMOC), Louyan Shen (Nerin), Bonnie Liu (GF Futures),Claudai Uribe Lopez de Mesa (Zijin Continental Gold) and Helena Robin Bordie (RioTinto).
北京,2020年11月19日:中國國際礦業(yè)協(xié)會(“GMAC”)祝賀所有100位優(yōu)秀女性礦業(yè)人當選由英國礦業(yè)女性組織WIM UK主辦的2020屆“全球礦業(yè)百名勵志女性”(以下簡稱“WIM 100”);特別祝賀以下5位優(yōu)秀礦業(yè)女性,她們是:吳一鳴(洛陽鉬業(yè))、沈樓燕(中國瑞林)、劉博雅(廣發(fā)期貨-香港)、ClaudiaUribe Lopez de Mesa (紫金大陸黃金)、Helena Robin Bordie (力拓)。
The biennial WIM100,which was launched by Women in Mining UK in 2013, highlights the wealth offemale talent within the global mining industry, celebrates their “above &beyond” contributions to the industry, and identifies role models for future generations. This fourth edition has been kindly sponsored by BMO Capital Markets, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), IBM and Heidrick & Struggles.

The 100 women featured in the 2020 edition were selected due to their inspiring contribution towards a stronger, safer and more sustainable mining industry. This includes making positive and impactful changes, advocacy and a desire to empower others, perseverance in the face of adversity, and an ability to find solutions tochallenges.
2020年度WIM100當選者評選標準是基于她們通過自己的工作及經(jīng)驗賦能于礦業(yè),促進礦業(yè)更加安全、茁壯發(fā)展。這些能力及素質(zhì)包括:勇于做出積極而有影響力的變化、倡導和賦權(quán)他人的意愿及努力;在逆境中持之以恒,正面挑戰(zhàn)積極尋找解決方案的能力。
Carole Cable, Women in Mining UK Chair, said, “With you, I aminspired. We have seen that each WIM100 book we publish inspires more women who work in mining as they see first-hand what others are doing, and gives them food for thought about what they can do to contribute and progress their careers, and why this industry is so worth while to be part of.

What is particularly interesting about this edition of the WIM100 is the increase in the number of women working in sustainability, responsible sourcing, ethics and artisanal and small-scale mining, which is something that is at the top of the agenda for most investors and society at large . Our hope is that this WIM100 book will go some way to help break the stereo types about what a miner looks like and will encourage women to pursue a career in mining while at the same time encourage mining companies to acknowledge the breadth of the diverse talent pool.”

2020 Edition of the “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” 2020屆“全球礦業(yè)百名勵志女性”
First launched by Women in Mining UK in 2013, the biennial “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100) publication, now in its fourth edition, highlights the incredible diversity of talent in mining and celebrates inspirational women and their stories.
兩年一度的《 全球礦業(yè)百名勵志女性》(WIM100)于2013年由英國礦業(yè)女性組織首次發(fā)布,現(xiàn)已出版第四屆,著重介紹了采礦業(yè)精彩的多樣性,旨在慶祝礦業(yè)女性得此殊榮并分享她們的勵志故事。
This year’s search was launched March 2020 and nominations closed June 2020, with a more than 625 nominations working at 356 companies across 60 countries. This edition of the WIM100 is kindly sponsored by BMO Capital Markets, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), IBM and Heidrick & Struggles.

The 100 women featured in the 2020 Edition were selected due their qualities that make for a stronger, safer mining industry. This includes making positive and impactful changes, advocacy and a desire to empower others, perseverance in the face of adversity, and an ability to find solutions to challenges.
